We are looking for a seasoned Python Support Engineer to join us as we scale our business.

As a Python Support Engineer you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining the SteelEye ETL pipeline for client data. 

Working in our sink team, you will be responsible for making sure that we accurately troubleshoot, isolate and manage any ELT issues. When required, this will include coordinating with senior technical and business analysts to resolve complex issues.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility over tier 2/3 customer support

  • Troubleshooting and isolating the root causes of functional and performance issues

  • Dealing with incidents pertaining to ETL pipelines, security and web application

  • Making python code changes, performing database operations and using admin tools to fix issues

  • Coordinating with senior technical and business analysts to resolve complex issues

  • Managing customer expectations

  • Leading efforts to automate and improve technical customer support

  • Keeping up-to-date with the product evolution 

Key skills and experience:

  • Prior experience in tier-2/3 support
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Technical skills:
    • Python
    • AWS
    • Elasticsearch
    • Javascript
    • CI/CD tools
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Demonstrable desire to learn and grow
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Mature collaboration and mentoring abilities
