At SteelEye, data is at the epicenter of all that we do. We are first and foremost a data analytics platform that allows our customers to get more comprehensive insights on their data. Following Series B funding, SteelEye is entering its next phase of growth and we are looking to hire multiple Data Platform Engineers to join our growing team.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Write, maintain, and expand code in Python
Work with other teams to perform data remediation
Assist in writing specifications for new integrations
Transform data to meet customer requirements
Plan and implement ETL pipelines
Draft design documents that translate requirements into code
Effectively manage challenges large volumes of data while working towards tight deadlines
Manage expectations with internal stakeholders and context-switch in a fast-paced environment
Thrive in an environment that uses AWS and Elasticsearch extensively
Contribute to the engineering strategy
Champion best development practices and provide mentorship to others

Key skills and experience:

Excellent knowledge of Python and related standards, frameworks, and libraries
Experience with the Python Data stack
Hands-on backend application development skills in Python
Experience manipulating data with Pandas efficiently
Experience working in a Linux environment
Ability to develop tooling, processes, and DevOps
Strong advocate for engineering best practices such as unit testing, integration testing, code review, and documentation

You should also possess excellent collaboration, organizational, analytical, and communication skills
