2025 marks a turning point for financial services in the U.S. While a new administration calls for deregulation, regulatory bodies are urging firms to continue thinking long-term and remain steadfast in their commitment to compliance, creating uncertainty for a market caught between politics and policy.

Through it all, one thing remains certain: market manipulators are not slowing down, leveraging new technologies, techniques, and trends to expose gaps in their firms’ compliance infrastructures.

Regs & Eggs New York 2025 will confront these realities directly. Attendees will hear from a panel of senior compliance practitioners, who will discuss a new way of thinking that is required for today's evolving enforcement priorities, compliance expectations, and market abuse challenges. The program will also feature Tom Hardin - better known as “Tipper X” - whose keynote address will shed light on the human side of misconduct and the lessons learned from one of Wall Street’s most notorious whistleblowing cases.

Keynote: The Inside Story of
Tipper X:
Tom Hardin

Tom Hardin - the Wall Street whistleblower known as "Tipper X" - is taking the stage at Regs & Eggs New York 2025 to share a gripping firsthand account of his role in one of the largest insider trading investigations in history.

Tom became a key informant in "Operation Perfect Hedge," assisting the U.S. Department of Justice by helping build over 20 criminal cases. As "Tipper X," he wore a covert FBI body wire on more than 40 occasions, exposing influential figures on Wall Street.

His powerful story illustrates how small ethical lapses can escalate into serious criminal actions, impacting careers, reputations, and relationships. Today, Tom is a global speaker and advisor on behavioral ethics and compliance, dedicated to helping professionals recognize temptation and fostering organizational cultures rooted in integrity and accountability.

About SteelEye's Regs & Eggs Event Series

We launched our Regs & Eggs event series in 2017 - inviting industry experts to share their insights and views on the latest regulatory topics over breakfast (eggs to be specific). Our most recent event was hosted at London's House of Commons in June 2025. The breakfast featured regulators from different regions across the globe to explore themes and focus areas across differing regulatory landscapes. These events aim to share knowledge and facilitate discussions with industry leaders about the key factors that impact financial services compliance.

SteelEye's flagship event returns to New York City for a third consecutive year, where North American compliance professionals will have a chance to participate in this highly regarded gathering. Attendees will hear from industry experts, gaining insights into the future of financial compliance as well as strategies that they can deploy to ensure long-term success within their firm. Hosted 60 floors high in Manhattan's Financial District, participants will experience a world-class breakfast while enjoying breathtaking views of the New York City skyline.
